About the Journal

Aims

The Journal of Family and Society Research (JFSR) is a biannual publication of the Association for Family and Society Scientists (AFASS), which has its head office at the Department of Home Science and Management, University of Nigeria, Nsukka.

 

JFSR is an international, multidisciplinary, peer-reviewed journal that offers a credible platform for disseminating robust and credible research output on issues relating to family dynamics and broader social, cultural, economic, and policy contexts.

Scope

The journal draws from various fields, such as sociology, psychology, social work, public health, economics, and education. Key focus areas include, but are not limited to, Family and Consumer Science, Gender studies, Nutrition Science and Education, Clothing and Textile, Culture and Religion, Technology, Safety and Security, Politics and Governance, Environmental/Ecological studies, Occupational health, Sociology, Human development, Child Care and Education, Mental health, Aging etc.

 

Target Audience

JFSR welcomes high-quality original research articles framed in qualitative, quantitative, mixed-method, and post-human designs. The journal also publishes critical review articles, policy analyses, and book reviews. JFSR is tailored to the specific interests of researchers, university and college academics, family counselors, policymakers, and education professionals.
