Correction and Retraction Policies
Correction and Retraction Policies
Galley proofs of the accepted manuscripts will be sent to the corresponding author’s email before publication. The manuscript will be verified by the corresponding author and subsequent correction(s) will be made if any.
In the case where authors observe an error after publication, the editorial board shall adequately consider the observation. The board reserves the right to decide to make the required change(s) and attach a post-publication notice to the article, retract or remove the article. However, authors should bear in mind that any author-related error after publication will not be attended to.
Appeals and Complaints
The decisions of the chief editor on manuscripts are considered final and authors are expected to comply with them. However, in certain cases, the editorial board welcomes genuine author complaints and appeals to editor decisions. Authors who wish to appeal editorial decisions should send an appeal letter to the journal email address; jfsr@afass.org.ng. They should ensure to include concrete evidence materials to support their appeal or complaints.
Editors will evaluate their complaint/appeal on the evidence available and make known their final decision to the authors via their corresponding email.
Data Sharing Policy
Publication's claims rely on research data, which might take several forms. Sharing these data publicly increases the discoverability and impact of your research. It also strengthens the research process by promoting validation, transparency, reproducibility, and replicability of outcomes. Authors are encouraged to deposit the data sets for their studies in suitable data repositories such as Open Science Framework, Mendeley data, Data Science Bank etc.
Authors who have their data in the data repository should make the link available in their manuscript.
